Experience
John Padilla is a partner and Managing Director of IPD Latin America. Overseeing the company's Mexico
activities since 2001, John has spearheaded various consulting initiatives
on a wide range of subjects; some of the most recent projects have included:
the creation of an extensive Key Stakeholders Map for Mexico’s Energy
Sector, a comprehensive study entitled
Mexico’s Pending Reforms Beyond the
2006 Elections, in-depth PIDIREGAS/ PEMEX financial analysis, natural
gas storage regulatory review and project viability analysis, a thorough
regional natural gas supply-demand study and a highly detailed projection
modeling of Mexico’s hydrocarbon sector.
John frequently leads strategic in-house workshops for clients,
provides executive briefings and speaks regularly at industry conferences.
Complimenting his consulting experience at IPD, John
brings ten years of structured and project finance and advisory experience
in the areas of energy, utilities and infrastructure. His experience
includes six years working with Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in the ba nk’s New
York based Energy, Utility and Infrastructure Group, where he structured,
financed and advised on numerous domestic and international projects. As a
Global Relationship Manager for DKB, his responsibilities
also included corporate, M&A, capital markets, and other leveraged financing
activities for the sector’s client base. Prior to DKB, John held positions
with the project finance group at Banque Paribas and the transportation
group at Manufacturers Hanover (JP Morgan Chase). He holds a BS in Finance
from Boston College.
