Patricia Ventura Nicolas  is a consultant with IPD Latin America based in Caracas, Venezuela. She joined the company in March 2005.

Patricia is a Journalist with more than ten years of experience in reporting energy-related issues. She has won the Citigroup Award for Excellence in Journalism for her work as a reporter for the Venezuelan newspaper El Universal.  Patricia has also worked with Dow Jones Newswire and the Caracas based El Diario de Caracas. She has extensive experience covering both domestic and international energy issues.

Patricia graduated from the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in Caracas with a Bachelors Degree in Social Communication and recently completed her LLM in Petroleum Law and Policy from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy, University of Dundee in Scotland. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
